PIN-UP PHOTOGRAPHY

Pin-Up models or Pin-Up girls, where mass produced pictures or drawings/paintings mass produced trying to appeal to an audience defined by popular “pop”culture. Pin-up visual arts are designed for informal display, I.e. to be “pinned-up” on a wall. Examples where calendars, posters and art work on the nose of large airplanes used in WWII. Recently the resurgence of the Pin-Up model has spread into the lives of ladies everywhere.

The inner desires of the subjects to be photographed on a Pin-Up for has become extremely popular with many subject choosing to revert to “Classic Pin-Up” models for reference. That style reverts to the 1940’s where hair style, swimming suits, and other revealing apparel. Pin-Up photography covers the range from subtle, partial and total nudity to the subjects being fully clothes with “period garments”” representing the golden ear of Pin-Ups.

Advertising became a channel for distribution of Pin-Up art though the last century. Pin-Up visual art aids the subjects to change every day culture and when done as a private photographic session the idea is to promote positive body images and the love for sexuality displays by the subjects.
